Expand your strength level slowly and expand comfort zone.

I love the strengths-based leadership approach. It challenges us to know what our natural gifts are and build on them. But if we’re not careful it can make us blind to our opportunities to improve.
How good you are with delegation? How you would like to vote your selves for technical skills? How you judge your decision making skills? How fast you could jump in to problem solving matter of business? How good you are with international business partners?
So now what?
Do you use strength finding tools in business? How good you are with it? You must be a good talent. But it won’t allow you to perform all roles in business. You must know your strength and slowly add strength in moving forward. That’s when you need to look even more deeply at your strengths. She approached her “managing up” challenge as a problem to be solved and infused her communications to her bosses with her genuine enjoyment of cross-cultural business and her love of Asia, in particular. She invited them to accompany her to strategic meetings, where they experienced the business potential she saw firsthand, and she answered all their questions with enthusiasm.
And has expanded her comfort zone of strengths. Sometimes, your comfort zone will be bigger than the current level. You could expand your zone of comfort. Your smartness could add slowly comfort in you.
Remember, learning in dis comfort zone permanently adds lots of stress in the life. Even, your performance level could be fall down after few levels.
Let me share, my coaching experience of Pharma Company. I was coaching senior manager and he was full of strength .But he have two major weaknesses. One was emotional and another was discipline. Extremely poor with the discipline norms of company.
One of the finest senior level officers make sometimes mistakes which an ordinary executive could not make. Because of that, he was stand before CEO with apologies situation.
In counseling sessions, he commit with me lots of time. He was agreed for his behavioural issues. But he could not cover up his weaknesses.
An officer with huge strength could not optimize his strength lots of time. Finally, not able to extend his strength zone. His comfort level in company was not expanding.
