Are you surrounded by YES-MAN?
Do you find that groups discuss decision and prefer lobbing before it is actually taken?
Are you finding human turnover rate very high?
Team have resistance against changes?
People are afraid to disclose their weaknesses?
Kindly note that time has come up to start conflict stimulation in an organisation. In most of the Indian organisation, I have found that CEO words are final words, even though he is wrong. But, no one in the team has courage to get up and raise the voice against wrong practices. Nor, they have guts to put up their idea in front of top management. I have found that academic intelligence has poor values in Indian Institutes. CEO’S hardly entertain innovation and creative ideas from bottom line people or shop floor.
In my eyes, in such a situation conflict stimulation is advisable. Constructive conflict is a healthy signal for any organisation but most of the time, it is taken personally. In fact, it should be taken mentally. People take it heartily, which creates unhealthy relationship and disturbs the environment of the organisation. Finally, harmony, joy, peace and satisfaction start missing.
Leadership is listening ideas, creating freedom to put across ideas, harmony among the team.
