We know for years that the focus should be on talent and not on jobs. I am always directing people to think of their careers like a business.
Even people inside organizations today should view their work and career as if they owe it. How differently would we act if we approach our work with an entrepreneurial spirit? What value-addition people can make in the organization by adding new projects, clients or adding best talent in the team? Would you start loving job? Talent is not only the key in the organization. Why organization’s keep on changing talent on the board? Talent in the organisation requires up gradation and needs sharp edges. Finding out the most right talent is becoming challenging for the companies.
Now, the talent is interviewed on the phone and social networking web. We get the people to whom we had never met and seen. We select the people after discussion and sharing. Companies pick up people after that discussion and conversation. Finding out the right talent through social net working web is a current trend and practices of a leader.
Time has come to rethink and re-plan high ring policy for the companies.
People have to do the best work with commercial attitude. I mean, what difference they can make in the revenue model of the company by increasing revenue or through cost cutting. Cost cutting doesn’t mean, discharging people from the team. I personally believe that “JOB” will be outdated in the coming years and talent will work on the assignment or work basis or consultancy basis. Ahhh, YES! Average skill will prefer to do job as it is there benchmark.
