BE OUT OF BOX – INBOX

Michael Polanyi, a Philosopher, said, “We know much more than we know we know.”

Why are we not surfing from our inner-net? In my eyes, Intuition has a great role in our lives. We all have solutions inside but we do not arrive on it. To remove the hunch in following intuitions we have to follow following steps.

Be good in listening the inner voice

Give time and attention to the voice

Respect the voice.

Explore the voice. (Be gentle)

We have to improve our existing level of senses. The most dramatic kinds of intuitions are that erupt suddenly as solutions or conclusions. A recent example is the work of Andrew Wiles, the Cambridge Don, who finally solved the mathematical conundrum known as Fermat’s last Theorem a few years ago. In the 1800s Fermat, known as Fermat’s last Amateurs’, claimed in one of his notebooks to have proved that

Xn + Yn = Zn has no solutions where n is a whole number greater than 2. Infuriatingly, he also claimed that he did not have time of space to write the proof down. Wiles, who is described by the print media as the proverbial “Shy Englishman”, worked away at the problem in great secrecy and isolation for eight years and then, in his own words, “I was sitting at my desk one Monday morning….. suddenly, totally unexpectedly, I had incredible revelation. It was so indescribably beautiful, it was so simple and so elegant….Nothing I ever do again will mean so much.”

The same can be undoubtedly true in science and technology.

Inspirations and Insights are the shock troops of intuition. Intuition noisily proclaim their own validity.
