My ambitions were already very clearly fixed by the time I was 6 or 7 — Joshua Lederberg
Everyone has his own mission in life; to live life to the full and carry out the allotted task which is unique as it comes as a specific God-given opportunity which has to be implemented.
To achieve big results the mission too has to be based on big beliefs with an understanding that what sort of values do big results bring. There are other roles in life when we drive ourselves hard to achieve big results. With focus on the goal to be achieved some people around you may quit because you have no time for them. Real leadership lies in taking all around you to the ultimate pinnacle of glory with love and dedication. After the achievement giving credit to the people around you who made it possible is the true sign of a great leader.
Making money is a strong ambition but you should not be its slave. Money should not be the be all and end all of your ambition which strikes at the root of your family and personal life. Your ambition to be successful financially without values and ethics will be short lived. I can cite 100 instances of those who tried to become successful without adhering to values and ethics. Finally, they all faced disappointment and some even went behind bars.
Let your focus be on prime ambition rather than other minor ambitions that can detract you from being successful in life. You can ride only one horse at a time and this could mean moving steadily from the beginning of your childhood. The judicious mix of ambition and passion are the tools of compassion that a leadership needs to possess.
True ambition lies in dedicating oneself to the task at hand fearlessly even if the end results are not appealing. Remember duty determines destiny. Yet if GOD has other plans for you take it with head held high. There should be no regrets as you are here to play the game of life as per His wish. But you certainly have the right to live the way you decide for it is your ambition in life.
Lady Gaga said profoundly, “I had this dream, and I really wanted to be a star. And I was almost a monster in the way that I was really fearless with my ambitions.”
