You are born a “Creative Worker” following the process of “Unconscious Cerebration.” We all have the same success mechanism. You create more opportunities by following and being guided by them. The more light you allow within you, the brighter the world you live in will be.
Do your worrying before you place your bet, not after the wheel starts turning.
If the decision was to go along physically, I might as well go along mentally – and dismiss all thought of resistance —William James
There must be harmony between decisions of mind and body. Leaders do not live with contradictory commands. When you say “mentally to do it” it should mean physically you are also going with it. But I have seen people do physically not mentally.
This “Unconscious Cerebration,” is the movement of our limbs which we put into action unconsciously so long as our attention continues to be uninterruptedly diverted from them. In other words the things we do even without thinking about which comes naturally from our daily routine. There is no mismatch in our thinking and doing as the unconscious mind controls us.
But we can’t reserve the process of “unconscious cerebration” only for writers, inventors and “creative workers.” We are all creative workers, whether we are housewives working in a kitchen, school teachers, students, salesmen or businessmen. We all have the same “success mechanism” within us in solving our personal problems, running a business, or selling goods, just as it is in writing a story or inventing something. Dr. JB Rhine of Duke University put it rightly when he said that “genius” is a process; a natural way in which the human mind works to solve any problem. “But we mistakenly apply the term “genius” only when the process is used to write a book or paint a picture,” Dr Rhine said.
Focus on the present
Let us therefore consciously stop the habit of “taking up anxious thought for tomorrow” by focusing all the attention to the present.
What is there, here and now that I should respond to? Can I do something now? Two great words are power of NOW and HERE. Live in present. Let nature work with rule of POWER OF NOW. Leader lives and breathes with spontaneity and his actions are spontaneous.
Try to do only one thing at a time. e.g.
Sun .. Clouds … Sea …. Trees all do one thing at a time and that is how Nature works. They never change their role nor interfere in the role of others. They do only one thing for whole year .That is why you find a natural balance in life.
Man should do only one thing at a time. Multi tasking won’t be able to create results of par excellence. Trying to do many things at a time results in anxiety, hurried approach, nervousness and confusion.
Remember, your creative mechanism works best when there is not too much interference from your conscious mind. When you are more relaxed your unconscious mind works at optimum level. Follow rule of doing vs happening.
Take my case. It happened several times when I concentrated in the evening on a subject which I had put it into poetic shape. Next morning I had only to take a pen and the words flowed spontaneously. I had only to polish them later.
Henry Cobbs, who started his business in the early 1930 with a 10-dollar bill and now operates a Multi-Million dollar mail order fruit business in US always follow this method.
Relax while you work.
“I feel more and more relaxed.” Remember, in detail the sensation of relaxation. Maintain a relaxed attitude; you will no longer need to consciously practice it. You will be surprised at how much it reduces fatigue and how much better you are able to handle stress situations.
All the discoveries in research laboratories came as hunches during a period of relaxation, following a period of intensive thinking and fact gathering, said CG Suits, Chief Scientist, GE.
A relaxed mind creates better ideas which lead to better life and better living. We ought to be good to LIFE not to LIFESTYLE.
