What is your focus? In my eyes the thing that separates you from this world and from the ocean of mediocrity. Extraordinary people love the statement of baseball player Hank Aaron, “I think what separates a super star from the average baseball player is that he concentrates just a little bit more.”
Are you driving your life towards a particular object? Whether you obtain it or not, doesn’t matter, what matters is, are you clear with your Focus?
Focus has always terrific impact on our career. It makes us extraordinary from ordinary.
Donald Demaray explains in his book ‘Laughter, Joy and Healing’ about focus of a young journalist. This journalist wrote to his father about his life and how he is going ahead on the path of success.
At the age 30, he would be a great newspaper reporter
At the age 40, he would be a great editor
At the age of 50, he would be a great story writer
At the age 60, he would be a great fiction writer
At the age 70, he would be a great grandfather
At the age 80, he would an admirer of beautiful women
At the age of 90, he would be a great loss to the community
His father was gratified when he began to find out that his son’s career was growing along with those lines.
You will never reach an accomplishment unless you have clear objectives. If you want to be successful, you must focus on what you can do, not on what you can’t.
Just trigger yourself and ask; do I know where am I going? Am I adding value to myself everyday? Am I fully concentrated on my goals? Do I know my next 10 years’ vision? Do I know what am I going to be? Am I tapping my potentiality up to 100 percent?
In life, I observe people with an attitude of living busy life instead of focussed life.
One of the major reasons is to be successful. I have observed that, “Have clear cut goals and express it. By taking these steps we will be able to tap our best to realise the goal.
